An Analysis of the Status of Continuous Assessment in Three Colleges of Wolaita Sodo University

The purpose of this study was to analyze the major factors for ineffective implementation continuous assessment and poor performance students. Hence, inorder realize overriding purpose, all 3 rd year senior students from colleges engineering, natural computational sciences, Health Medicine, instructors these were used as target population. Samples 60 45 selected using simple random sampling technique purposive respectivel , observation documents on student assessments analysis. Both qualitative quantitative methods data collection employed also descriptive survey employed. Open-ended close-ended questionnaire collection. Frequency counts percentages analysis through open-ended narrated support that one. findings showed there a high gap knowledge regarding importance parts majority instructors, leaders students, lack commitment part well some problems. Moreover, no programs plans at different levels follow-up along with other reasons. it concluded both competence problems leaders, well. Therefore, recommended sufficient orientation outset should be given about assessment; necessary facilities availed learners instructors. policy mode delivery modules clarity weights revised made clear all.
